Such work will be performed during the day on Tuesday May 16, 2023, and Wednesday May 17 if needed. (Weather Permitting).

Please avoid parking on the street on Tuesday May 16, 2023, and Wednesday May 17, 2023, to enable the street sweeper to clean from curb to curb.

Golf Carts, Mopeds, Electric Bikes

Herriman Letterhead

April 21, 2023

RE: Golf Carts, Mopeds, Electric Bikes

Dear Cherry Hill Village Resident:

While the vast majority of Cherry Hill Village residents are very considerate of their neighbors, this communication is simply intended to remind all CHV I and CHV II residents, that there are state laws regarding the use of golf carts, mopeds, and electric bikes.

The Association has received multiple complaints of golf carts and electric bikes, mainly on the streets, sidewalks, and utility walking paths (also underage drivers).

We ask if you are operating a golf cart, moped or electric bikes in Cherry Hill Village that you please review the attached link (below) to Michigan State Legislation, regarding the use of these vehicles.

http://www.legislature.mi.gov/(S(quybr2ubkua3sszdxgzxqdz5))/mileg.aspx?page=getObject&objectName=mcl-300-1949-VI-OPERATION-OF-BICYCLES-MOTORCYCLES-AND-TOY-VEHICLES

Canton Township Police Department has informed us that they mirror and enforce the Michigan State laws for the vehicles mentioned above.

As there is no mention of the use of these vehicles in the CHVHA Bylaws for the Association to enforce, the Association is encouraging Cherry Hill Village residents to please contact the Canton Township Police Department to register a complaint, if you believe there is a violation. The non-emergency number is 734-394-5400.

We appreciate your assistance with these matters.

Thank you for your cooperation,

CHVHA Asphalt Crack Fill Memo

October 18, 2022

RE: Street and Alley Asphalt Crack Filling

Dear Cherry Hill Village Resident:

This communication is to alert residents that Street and Alley Asphalt Crack Filling will be performed on the week of October 24, 2022, throughout CHV Streets and Alleys (WEATHER PERMITTING).

This will be a four-day process (please see attached map). The contractor may get ahead of schedule or behind, so please just keep an eye open for them if you park on the street.

We ask you to please be cautious of the workers. We would please ask CHV I owners to please turn off lawn Irrigation on Sunday and be left off until the work is completed, this will assure that the streets and alleys will be at their driest. They will not be able fill cracks if they are wet.

Also please try to have vehicles off the street to repair the entire crack (they will not return if vehicle is parked over crack).
Sections of street will be closed for a short period of time (15-20 minutes) to let hot rubber to set up (driving through could stick to tires and transfer onto driveways).

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you for your cooperation,

BOO!

It’s OCTOBER and officially BOO SEASON!

To start a Halloween BOO, one neighbor secretly leaves a small gift basket, a BOO poem, BOO instructions and a BOO sign at a neighbor’s doorstep.

The lucky BOO-ee is asked to post the sign near the door, alerting others that “We’ve Been BOO-ed!” That way, new BOO recruits won’t leave a duplicate BOO on the doorstep.

In turn, the neighbor is asked to BOO two other households, leading to a chain reaction and Halloween fun.

Day by day, the BOO signs proliferate. Soon, the entire neighborhood is sporting BOO signs, and everyone is guessing. Who’s been booed?

CHV Asphalt Repairs

September 16, 2022

RE: CHV Asphalt Repairs

Dear Cherry Hill Village Residents:

This communication is to alert residents that asphalt repairs will be started on the week of September 19th throughout CHV (WEATHER PERMITTING). The repairs will be in the streets and alleys. We ask you to please be cautious in these areas when leaving and returning to your residence. When leaving and returning, you may have to use the other end of the alley to access your home or may have to park on the street. Also, if your garage backs up to area marked on the map, you may want to move your car to the street the evening before (to avoid being blocked in your garage), as the contractors will be starting early.

The process will take two to three days with milling the asphalt, removing the debris, and followed by laying down the new asphalt (WEATHER PERMITTING). Please check attached map for asphalt repair locations. If you see the contractor working in your area and asphalt is marked with orange paint where your vehicle may be parked, please move your vehicle to speed up the process.

Please turn off lawn sprinklers if they interfere with an area of work located on the map or if there are markings on the street or alley near your unit.

We apologize for any inconvenience.
