About the Village

Cherry Hill Village is a strong, vibrant, and exciting community. It is Michigan's first Traditional Neighborhood Development and is located in Canton, Michigan. There's a little something here for everyone.

Homes share the same uniquely styled architecture with front porches on every home. Residents enjoy pedestrian oriented streets, walking paths, and multiple parks for recreation and relaxation.

Visitors will enjoy the downtown area, which is still growing!  Additional shopping and dining destinations are currently under construction or in the design stages. The Village Theater continues to produce quality stage, musical, and dinner performances. Local historical buildings, such as the Bartlett-Travis House, provide an ideal setting for your next gathering.

Whether you're looking to move here or just stopping by, feel free to look around and become familiar with our unique community.

Volunteer for Christmas in the Village 2010!
Sunday, 07 March 2010
ImageAfter a one year hiatus, we are starting early in 2010 to make a successful Christmas in the Village.   While budgets are tight, the results of our recent Social Committee survey show that enthusiasm is high.  Christmas in the Village showcases our neighborhood, and gets everyone excited to be part of a beautiful, warm-spirited occasion.

We are considering 2010 a "rebuilding" year, and starting small -- centering our efforts around the most successful part of past Christmas in the Village events:  the home tours.  We might also add in our more recent holiday events onto the same day, such as the children's party and tree decorating.

The Canton township recreation department is teaming up with us on logistics, but we need as much help as possible from our community to make this event a big success.  We are asking as many as possible of our neighbors to participate.  You can participate at whatever level you are comfortable. PLEASE become part of this GREAT event that has been a centerpiece of our community.

Fill out survey to tell us how you want to volunteer !

2010 Social Committee survey results
Wednesday, 24 February 2010
The results are in!  Thank you to everyone who took our survey.  We had 41 residents respond to our Social Committee 2010 survey, and you gave us lots of good feedback our events and planning.  Please review the graphs below to learn what your neighbors thought.

We also got some new volunteers and committee members identified from the survey -- if you are one of these people, except to hear from us in the near future to help out!  Also, if you said you would help organize an event, Kristen Truong, our Social Committee chair, will likely be contacting you to find out how you would like to get involved.

Current events

The following are the events that the Social Committee has sponsored annually for the past few years.  We asked residents the following question:  If you have attended one of these events, please provide your level of agreement with the following statement:

This event is a great asset to our community and is worth spending time and money on.

2010 Donation Drive for the CHV Social Fund
Tuesday, 26 January 2010

The Cherry Hill Village Social committee operates solely from annual family donations and a few fundraising events throughout the year.  We are doing collections now for the 2010 year because we need money in our budget in order to make deposits and pre-payments for upcoming events.  Please help to make this possible!

While not mandatory, we ask that each family in the Village donates $25 (or more if you can) to support the many activities that the social committee runs throughout the year.  You can provide your donation by downloading and mailing this form annual donation (PDF) or SECURELY online through paypal.com, by clicking on the link below.

NOTE: If you are having trouble using the "Donate" button, and you already have a Paypal account, you can log in to your Paypal account directly, and just send your donation to " This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ".
