			<title>Pancake Breakfast was a big HIT!</title>
			<link>http://mychv.com/public/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=248&amp;Itemid=2</link>
<description>Despite the crazy weather Saturday night, Sunday morning we had a great turnout for our first annual Pancake Breakfast at the Farmer's Market. We had over 220 people catch their breakfast from Trevor &quot;Nutcake&quot; Muir of Chris Cakes, and enjoy some yummy pancakes.

Trevor said we exceeded his expectations for a first-time event (which often only get about 100 people). His miscalculation meant we had to make a mid-morning run out for more sausage (thanks John Truong!), but I think having too many people is a problem we don't mind having!
After serving out more than 900 pancakes, Trevor ended the day by flipping John a pancake over the barn rafters -- at least 30 feet! It took two tries, but John caught and ate that high flying pancake.

A BIG Thanks to everyone who helped out with the event:

Blake Crady
Jim Saunders
Barb Babut
Nancy Earle
Kristen Truong
John Truong
Tina Lloyd (Farmers Market coordinator)

<title>Volunteer for Christmas in the Village Dec. 4 2010!</title>
			<link>http://mychv.com/public/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=222&amp;Itemid=2</link>
<description>After a one year hiatus, we are starting early in 2010 to make a successful Christmas in the Village. We are planning the event for Saturday, December 4. While budgets are tight, the results of our recent Social Committee survey show that enthusiasm is high. Christmas in the Village showcases our neighborhood, and gets everyone excited to be part of a beautiful, warm-spirited occasion. We are considering 2010 a &quot;rebuilding&quot; year, and starting small -- centering our efforts around the most successful part of past Christmas in the Village events: the home tours. We might also add in our more recent holiday events onto the same day, such as the children's party and tree decorating. The Canton township recreation department is teaming up with us on logistics, but we need as much help as possible from our community to make this event a big success. We are asking as many as possible of our neighbors to participate. You can participate at whatever level you are comfortable. PLEASE become part of this GREAT event that has been a centerpiece of our community. Fill out survey to tell us how you want to volunteer (http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/?p=WEB22ABTAYZVLP) !Questions? Please contact Tammy Russo -- 734-495-0744 or pcsh328@yahoo.com.How can I help?Have my home on the home tour. ANY size homes are welcome!
