Tails will be wagging as the Canton Community celebrates the opening of its new off-leash Dog Park on Tuesday, August 9 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend the event, along with their four-legged friends, which will include a ribbon cutting ceremony at 5:45 p.m. Over-flow parking for this event will be held at Preservation Park, located at 500 N. Ridge Road.
Located on Denton Road, just north of Cherry Hill Road and across from the Canton Fire Station #3, this off-leash dog park provides separate sections for large dogs 20 pounds or more and smaller breeds under 20 pounds. This newest park features an enclosed space of approximately five acres and a double-gated entry which will be kept locked when the park is not open. Hours of operation are from dawn to dusk.
